After months of speculation and drama,AGermany midfielder Mario GotzeA returns home as he AhasAofficiallyAAcompleted his transfer to return to his hometown club Borussia Dortmund on a four year contract deal from Bayern Munich.

The 24-year-old won two Bundesliga titles with Dotrmund before he joined current German League holder Bayern Munich back in year 2013, where he failed to impress andAlive up to high expectations at the AAllianz AArena.AGotze struggled for first- team football under coach Pep Guardiola, who was recently appointed as the Ahead coach of Manchester City.

With new manager Carlo Ancelotti refusing to guarantee the midfielder a place in the first team, ABayern had suggested previously that Goetze’s days at the club were numbered.

“When I completed the switch from BVB to FC Bayern in 2013, it was a conscious decision and one that I do not wish to hide from today,” Goetze told Dortmund’s website.

Gotze was included Ain Germany’s Euro 2016 squad, but failed to have much of an impact in his four appearances.

“I think the transfer is a good solution for all parties. FC Bayern thanks Mario Goetze for three years wearing the Bayern shirt and wishes him all the best for the future,” Bayern chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge said in a statement.
“His return will boost the creativity in a Dortmund side that sold attacking midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan to Manchester United earlier this month,” Rummenigge Aadded.
