The fifth edition of the Kenkre Champions League (KCL) will be held at the Don Bosco High School (Matunga) grounds in Mumbai from this Sunday.

The tournament will feature boys teams of age groups U-8, U-10, U-12, U-14, and U-16 while the girl’s teams will have the age groups U-12, U-14 and U-16. The Sunday League will be played on seven Sundays starting this week atADon Bosco School, Matunga.

Kenkre Champions League is an open-for-all tournament which will give the opportunity for young and budding footballers in Mumbai to be a part of Kenkre’s vision of grassroots development in the city.AAtAKCL, young players are presented with an opportunity to be guided by experienced coaches.

Being a league, each individual participant is helped with having the chance to play seven matches in the course of the tournament, helping bolster his confidence and competitiveness at a young age. There will be two leagues played across five fields each Sunday at the Don Bosco ground.

The total prize money of INR 15,00,000 lakh for the winners and individual honors help these players with a suitable platform to re-invest the monetary benefits and experiences to the best of their abilities, thus carving out a future for the children in football.
