Arsenal haters have gone bonkers in the news. Which in turn have made Gooners go ape shit over one of their gems, aka MesutAOzil.
A few days ago the wonderful tabloid news tells us, that all Mesut Ozil wants is the number 10 and 200k a week contract. Thatas it and Mr Wenger was more than willing to give it to him. But Arsenal being Arsenal, are always going to have conflicting reports in the a?papersa from hundreds of sources. Itas all a part of life, only another condition one has to go through by being an Arsenal fan, and yet for some reason it gets to me.
We know for sure that contract talks between both Alexis and Mesut are currently ongoing. But it seems that a?reportsa? from Germany have risen from the ground that Ozil has grabbed a long term deal with the club and it also hasAhim wearing the number 10. Everythingas going well so far, itas magnificent but being Arsenal fans we have to stay en garde . Cautiously optimistic, I believe thatas the word for it.
A few days later and boom!! Various sources (names shall not be named as one doesnat like them) are saying that in the middle of putting down pen to paper, Ozil thought for a few minutes. Then he got up from the table and said to Arsene a?Iave changed my mind, send me back to Real Madrid.a Like something out of an overly dramatized Bollywood movie!!
So for once, I would sincerely like all a?tabloid journalisma to shut up and please let us have something good! Because Ozil isnat that kind of guy, he isnat someone to do a complete 180 (unless heas on a pitch) and decide not to sign after going through negotiations for so long. Especially not after he brought a player to the club and even probably helped with Alexisas contract negotiations.
Journalists love to stir the pot, just to see what may cook up and Ozil is just another victim. He has already said how much he respects and loves the club, how he admires Wenger and the culture at the Emirates. Ozil assisted in bring Mustafi to the club, saying exactly what I just said. So to do a sudden U turn does not sit well with the cold hardAfacts that we already know.
Alexis on the other hand, is a bit of a live wire. He signing his contract means more to Arsenal than heall ever know but one never knows what may happen. Mesut Ozil on the other side wants to extend his time at Arsenal and given that sensational season last year, he knows that he can do very well here. Especially now with the team doing so well in all competitions, not just through the Maestro but all around him as well. He may not have got his world class striker but that may just convince him to convince Alexis to sign his extension and not leave for Juve or some other team..
