The second day of the Ranchi leg in PKL will feature Patna Pirates taking on the UP Yoddha in a mouth-watering clash.

Patna Pirates UP Yoddha

Patna Pirates’ skipper Pardeep Narwal has looked unstoppable this season with 163 raid points

Both teams come into the match with contrasting results. Patna Pirates will be high on confidence post their big win against the Telugu Titans last night while UP Yoddha are coming into this match on the back of a loss against the Tamil Thalaivas.

Patna attack has been brilliant throughout the season much due to the incredible showing of their skipper, Pardeep Narwal who leads the points tally with a massive 163 raid points to his name. Rahul Chaudhari is the closest to him with 120 points.Monu Goyat has played a good role as the supporting second raider; grabbing a ‘Super 10’ last night against Titans.

The Patna defence had been a matter of concern in recent matches, but yesterday it came through. The defense consisting of Vishal Mane, Sachin Shingade, Jawahar, and Jaideep all made good contributions and brought the game home last night.

UP Yoddha is a well-balanced team with attack and defense both having a good mix of talented players. The major cause of concern for them has been their indecisiveness towards the end of the match. They have lost out on many matches in such manner and need to stay focused during the last stretch.

Nitin Tomar and Rishank Devadiga have ably led the raiding department, with Mahesh Goud playing a decent role as the third raider. The defense is manned by the trio of Jeeva Kumar, Sagar Krishna, and Nitesh Kumar who have shown great strength and stability throughout the season. Rajesh Narwal, the all-rounder has been disappointing for the Yoddhas this season and they will expect him to perform better.
