Bengaluru Bulls take on the U.P Yoddha after a thrilling encounter against Tamil Thalaivas on the opening night in Nagpur.
Bengaluru Bulls escaped a close contest with a one point win over Ajay Thakur’s Tamil Thalaivas despite leading 23-8 at halftime. The Bengaluru Bulls defence were left with a sigh of relief as the Thalaivas almost came back but the Bulls pulled it home. Bulls’ coach Randhi Singh will want to make sure his side don’t take the foot off the pedal after getting a comfortable again.
Rohit Kumar, the Bulls’ skipper was once again in hot form as he led the team with his commanding raiding display. He scored a “Super 10” in the game to keep his side’s winning run in continuity. Bulls’ defend had good showing in the first half, especially Mahender Singh, who scored a “High 5” on the night.
U.P Yoddha, the new entrants into the Pro Kabaddi League, began their season with a bang when they defeated Telugu Titans in Hyderabad with a huge 31-18 victory. They are a well rounded side and will be high on confidence going into the match.
The raiding department is stacked with Nitin Tomar and Rishank Devadiga, supported by the Rajesh Narwal, Mahesh Goud and Surender Singh. The defense is helmed by the experienced Jeeva Kumar, who will have youngster Nitesh Kumar at his side. Nitesh grabbed a “High 5” on his debut against the Titans in an impressive showing.
