A unique fan engagement initiative by Star Sports a the Punjab leg of Game Plan In Your City saw fans engaging with Barinder Sran, Irfan Pathan, and Abhishek Nayar.
With an endeavor to bring sports fans closer to their VIVO IPL heroes and the game, Star Sports today continued the Game Plan In Your City initiative in Mohali. Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) fans from Kimberly Boarding School got a unique opportunity to interact with Barinder Sran and Irfan Pathan along with Abhishek Nayar as a part of the initiative that was launched in Hyderabad last week.
Irfan Pathan and Abhishek Nayar who are on the Star Sports panel along with Jatin Sapru, the show anchor for VIVO IPL 2018 were joined by Barinder Sran from KXIP for a special episode of Game Plan In Your City where they analyzed the KXIP squad for VIVO IPL 2018 and discussed what the fans can expect from their favourite team from the upcoming season. Children from the school also got an opportunity to ask questions to their favorite stars at the event along with a chance of a lifetime to get their pictures clicked with their heroes.
Speaking on the sidelines of Game Plan In Your City, Star Sports expert for VIVO IPL 2018, Irfan Pathan said, a?The new look Kings XI Punjab is one of the teams to beat this season. The team will be led by the experienced R. Ashwin and with the acquisition of KL Rahul, Mayank Agarwal, Andrew Tye, Sran along with the other players, the KXIP fans can finally hope to end their wait for an IPL trophy. Promising to make VIVO IPL a six-month fiesta, Star Sports will travel to New Delhi, Jaipur, Chennai, Mumbai and Bangalore next after mesmerizing Hyderabad and Mohali fans. The telecast of a?Game Plan in your Citya shows will begin next month and fans will be able to enjoy the episodes in Hindi as well as English.
The show will be telecast on Star Sports HD 1, Star Sports 1, Star Sports 1 Hindi, Star Sports First starting 10th March onwards at 9:00 am every weekend. In the lead-up to the tournament, Star Sports will bring 60 hours of dedicated programming per month featuring a daily dose of proprietary shows such as Game Plan, Cricket Countdown, and Franchise specific episodes.
The 11th edition of VIVO IPL starts on Saturday, April 07, 2018 with defending champions Mumbai Indians, who will host two-time winners Chennai Super Kings. Kings XI Punjab will begin the quest for their first VIVO IPL title on April 08, 2018 against Delhi Daredevils at Feroz Shah Kotla Ground in New Delhi.
In addition to watching VIVO IPL in Hindi and English, fans will enjoy a deeply local experience with the addition of four regional languages – Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Bengali in this edition of VIVO IPL 2018.
